About Us

My name is Chris Poly, and along with my wife, Michelle, we launched Spruce Pond Honey in 2024. We first met at Northeastern University in the late 1980s, where we pursued degrees in Engineering and Nursing. I started as a hobbiest for a couple of years and beekeeping became a passion for both of us in the early 2020s, and since then, we’ve been dedicated to producing the highest quality honey possible.

We offer small-batch, single-source, raw organic honey from our apiaries in Windham, NH, and are excited to expand to a few additional carefully chosen locations in town. To ensure our honey has the lowest possible pesticide profile, we conscientiously select sites far from farms and agricultural areas. We prioritize organic treatments and sustainable techniques to care for our bees, focusing on quality over profit every step of the way.

As a small, local producer, we’re passionate about connecting with the community. We invite everyone to visit us at 23 Jacob Rd in Windham, NH, to see some of our hives, meet the bees, and learn about our honey-making process. In a world where nearly 90% of supermarket honey comes from unknown sources, we’re proud to provide transparency and the finest honey around. Come discover the difference of truly local, sustainable honey!

We've also expanded our offerings to include Conservation Land EcoServices—designed to help Town Conservation Land Groups enhance pollination, achieve sustainability goals, and foster the growth of vibrant local ecosystems. We're proud to be partnering with the Town of Windham to place hives on conservation land, boosting pollinator activity and supporting the health and resilience of the surrounding environment.

We're also excited to share that this year we've partnered with Hives for Heroes®—a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting Service Members, Veterans, and First Responders through beekeeping. Hives for Heroes builds a strong community focused on sustainability, conservation, and providing a healthy transition from service. Through their nationwide network of mentors and beekeepers, they offer connection, purpose, and healing relationships, along with valuable resources and support.

Spruce Pond is proud to serve as a mentor in this incredible program, and we're looking forward to growing our involvement in the seasons ahead.

We are members of the following Beekeepers Associates; Merrimack Valley, Pawtuckaway and recently joined the Capital Area and Seacoast Associations.
